Dear Dr. Fodero:
My husband and I want to express to you the warmest and sincerest thanks and gratitude for taking care of our daughter Alexandra. The extent of injuries Alex sustained were so severe that we felt nothing short of a miracle would help her. Seconds after the accident, I got busy praying and called on my family and friends to do the same. We all fell that God answered our prayers with you. Not only did you repair her broken face meticulously as you repeatedly promised you would, but you reassuring manner and your calming demeanor kept us from losing our minds. Maybe you couldn’t tell at the time but most of what you said to us in the emergency room did not register because I was completely consumed with worry and fear. Truthfully, it was only weeks after, when the swelling began to disappear and that dark bruises began to fade that I started to realize how unbelievable lucky we were to have you as her physician.
We are enormously indebted to you and if I wrote a forty-page letter telling you in different ways just how grateful we are, it still would not completely convey the huge amount of gratitude, appreciation and admiration we have for you. You are one of the finest doctors on the planet and an exemplary human being.
I typed this letter in my head a hundred times trying to think of the best words, which would, best express my heartfelt thanks. No words seem fitting enough. I hope, however, you get the message and you realize what an enormous difference you have made not only in my daughter’s life, but also in the lives of my entire family.
In God’s name, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely,
- D.C.
